Weymouth & Gothla
I had a fun night providing the fire show at a burlesque night in Weymouth last Thursday and took my hoop stall along and some other items.
The next day I travelled up to Leicester for Gothla 2017, a gothic bellydance festival in its 11th year. They have a full weekend of workshops on different forms of bellydance and crafts such as costume designing and chain maille. It was quite something, and although I didn’t get to any of the workshops myself I loved meeting everyone and being a part of it. I hosted a hoop workshop on the Saturday and performed my new one hoop routine on Friday at the open stage. On Saturday I performed a double hoop show and watched all the other amazing acts.
I came away feeling very inspired! I can recommend attending one of these events. Although the next Gothla isn’t until next year, there is Heart of Lilith on Saturday 23rd September in Southampton, links below!
